I get it. I've done it too...too many times.

Here's the truth - That pesky washed-out, pale, unprinted side of your wild rag always shows, no matter how you tie it. 

Just like you, I thought my wild rag, and I were doin' good. Then, I'd see a pic with the wind blowing my silk scarf and that white-ish backside jumping out like a beacon, waving ships in from the shore.

It was frustrating...

This is why I created Cowtown Wild Rags.

If you don't know me, I'm Tammi, the owner, designer, and creator of Cowtown Wild Rags. Just like you, I was buying Western silk scarves that had a washed-out backside - until one day I realized, this is an unprinted, unfinished wild rag. 

How had this become the standard for Western scarves? I don't understand it. Years ago, while shopping in our beloved Fort Worth Stockyards, looking at the wild rags, moving them around the metal stand, desperately trying to find one with full color.

As I moved one after another to the right side of the scarf stand, I heard the squeak of the hanger as I moved each one out of the way. Searching, it was a stark reminder that I couldn't find what I was looking for. Was it too much to ask for a full-color print on both sides of the Western scarf? I didn't think so.

"I hate white backs on scarves," said the woman on the other side of the scarf rack, said to no one in particular as she moved away from the scarves.

"Yeah, me too."

...and I did. I had bought so many wild rags that I talked myself into knowing full well that they had that pale back. What happens to a scarf like that? They get put in the back of the closet, shoved into the drawer, or donated.

We wanted to make a scarf that people would love to wear and didn't have to tie strategically to hide an unfinished back.
